H. W. Shaffer died at his home on South Main St. Friday April 13th, 1906, aged 71 years and 6 mo. He has been failing for about a year, going down gradually. Funeral occured Sunday at his late residence. All of his children attended the funeral except Owen as he was in California and could not be here. Funeral conducted by Rev. Kruell. Interred in Hebron Cemetery.
