Jeanne Lynn Freymiller-Neff, 57, of Blue River, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Bloomfield Manor in Dodgeville after a courageous four year battle with cancer.

She was born December 11, 1950, the daughter of Clements and Barbara Chitwood.

Jeanne was a talented musician and served at worship services as an organist, pianist, and vocalist at several churches in the area.

She was also a keyboardist for Wings of a Dove's & Lyle Foley and the Joker's Wild Band, serving local nursing home residents.

She was also active in the community with her works of fiber, fabric, quilting, and heirloom fur teddy bear artwork.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, David Neff of Blue River, three children, Otley (Tara) Freymiller of Poynette, Lath (Emilia) Freymiller of Chicago, Chantelle (Matt) Walker of Tucson, three grandchildren, two brothers, William (Julia) Chitwood of Blue River, Benjamin (Patricia) Chitwood of Rockford, IL, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, sister Janice Kay, and brother Joel Clements.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 1:00 PM at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain, with Father Mike Resop officiating.

Burial was held at the Blue River Cemetery at 4:30 PM that day, where an American Legion Auxiliary Service was held.

Friends called at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain on Friday, October 24, 2008 from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at 1:00 PM.

The Godager Funeral Home of Muscoda assisted the family with their arrangements.
