Died 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 1993, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 89, a native of Louisville, Ky., and a resident of Walker. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Visiting at the funeral home 10 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Bill Nowell. Burial in Vickers Cemetery, Walker. Survived by three daughters, Mildred Austin Hutchinson, Greenwell Springs, Sarah Austin Blount, Watson, and EthelBlount Tidmore, Theodore, Ala.; four sons, Wesley Austin, Biloxi, Miss., Richard Blount, Bossier City, Willie Blount, Watson, and Bruce Blount, Walker; a sister, Peggy Sullivan; 16 grandchildren, including two granddaughters whom she reared, Melissa Blount Thames and Stephanie Blount; 25 great-grandchildren; two cousins, Juanita and Sidney Shircliff, Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two husbands, Frank Austin and Ernest R. Blount; and a grandson, Gary Hutchinson. Pallbearers will be Dennis Hutchinson, John, Anthony, Ricky and Rusty Blount and Cecil Thames. She was a member of Carroll Baptist Church, Walker.
