He was a son of Howard Sr. and Garnet (Dooley) Winget. On Sept 28, 1968, he married Patricia McEvoy, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, William "B.J." (Angel), Brian and Dustin James, all Celina; a daughter, Jadella Leonard, Celina; a brother, Jerry Lee (Ella), Celina; three sisters, Anna Margaret Hammons, Fort Jeninngs, Betty (Mark) Walker, Florida, and Jovetta (Joe) Gray, Celina; two sisters-in-law, Diana and Gaye Winget; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Howard Jr. "Buddy" and Robert "Bobby"; and two sisters, Christina Louth and an infant Wanda.
He retired after 30 years at Ford Motor Company, Lima. He was a past member of Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Celina, and was a cub scout master for five years for Pack 210 and the Webelo Pack. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam.
Services are at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
