DONALD J. CEREMONY passed away at San Leandro Hospital on September 17, 2004, at age 88. Born in Corona, Calif., he moved to San Leandro at the age of four years. He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Jane Tuley. He is survived by his loving wife, Hilda, of 65 years, two daughters, Joan Welch of Danville and Shirley Fraga and husband, Ed Fraga, of Fremont. He was the loving grandfather of Lisa Vaugnt, Michael Salotti and Ken Fraga, as well as seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He will be greatly missed by his longtime fishing buddy Jim Welch. He was a fifty-year life member of the Knights of Pythias and a longtime member of the Automotive Machinists' Union. He always had a story and a smile for his family and friends. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, September 21, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
