An active member of St. Mathews Methodist Church. Loving wife of the late E. Homer Abel, Sr. Preceded in death by her parents Ridley William Swindell and Little Effie Hollingsworth Swindell. Mother of E. Homer Abel, Jr. and wife Jane, Linda K. Abel Barron and husband Jerry, the late Walter Richard Abel and wife Jackie. Grandmother of David Abel, Jonathan Hardin, Greg Abel, Jennifer Hardin Nairn, and Todd Abel. Sister of Myra Belle Mumaw, Betty Metz, the late Dorothy Jeane Brinson and Ridley William Swindell, Jr. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
