Lyle W. Hieber, 56, of Yakima, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at home with his sister and family in Yakima.
Lyle was born February 3, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska to Wilber and Mary (Morrow) Hieber. In the completion of his education, he attended schools in Nebraska, Minnesota and Washington.
Lyle has lived and worked in the Yakima Valley since 1964. He was an outdoorsman and loved to walk, hunt and fish. Lyle was an excellent fisherman and a skilled marksman. He also was an avid reader of history, especially of the Civil War and American West.
He is survived by his sister, Ellen Rowley and her husband, Dale; one nephew, Jason Rowley and his wife, Janelle and daughter, Rachael all of Yakima; numerous aunts and cousins.
At his request private family graveside services will be held in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
