Culbert Benjamin Bessinger, 64, died Wednesday in a local hospital. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Friday in the Beaufort Baptist Church, Burial in Beaufort Memorial Gardens, directed by Anderson funeral Home. He was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late McQueen Bessinger and Elizabeth Whisenhunt Bessinger. He owned and operated the Bessinger Transfer Company and was in the real estate business. He was Baptist. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Montine Hughes Bessinger; a daughter, Mrs. Kathy Sibley of Beaufort; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Thomas of Cope; and two brothers, Dallas Bessinger or Norway and Clarence Bessinger of Orangeburg.
