Died, April 17, 1909, at the residence, Springfield, Jacob Edwards, colored, aged 71 years. Mr. Edwards was one of the best known and most respected colored men in the city. He was for many years proprietor of a barber shop.
Deceased is survived by his wife Cornelia Edwards and three sisters and one brother, residing in Tennessee.
The funeral will be tomorrow from St. Paul's A.M.E. church. The interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
