Karen died from head injuries sustained after a fall from her horse, "Babe". At the time of her death, she was survived by her parents, Paul H Foree, Jr and Doris Henderson Foree, her sister, Kimberly Doris Foree and her brother, Steven Paul Foree, all of Bartlett, Shelby County, Tennessee. Her paternal grandparents, Paul H Foree, Sr and Irene Bonner Foree and maternal grandmother Dorothy Polk of Arkansas. Also numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. She was a student at Harding Academy in Memphis, TN at the time of her death. She was 15 years old. She loved animals and aspired to be a veterinarian. The courageous decision was made by her beloved parents for organ donation so that others could have a better life in the wake of Karen's tragic death.
