Mrs. Nancy D. Andre, an Aged Resident of Iowa, Passed Away This Morning

After a residence of sixty-three years in Iowa, Mrs. Andre died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at the residence of her son, Samuel Andre, at No. 922 L street west. For a number of years past the deceased had made her home in the vicinity of Lisbon, Iowa, coming to Cedar Rapids a few week ago for the purpose of paying her son a visit. Her dissolution resulted from the infirmities incidental to old age, no well defined malady having manifested itself.

Mrs. Andre was born in Washington County, Ind., on November 27, 1830, and was in the 72d year of her age. The greater portion of her life had been passed at Lisbon, where her husband, who was a prominent farmer, died some years ago. She is survived by three sons and two daughters, the following: Samuel Andre of this city, Adna Andre of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Amos Andre of Scranton, Iowa; Mrs. J. Heneks of Mechanicsville, Iowa, and Mrs. W. C. Heneks of Cedar Rapids.

The remains will be taken to Lisbon and the funeral will be held in that place on Wednesday. (Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette, Cedar Rapids, IA, May 14, 1902)
