He was born August 25, 1913 in Tooele, Utah to Isaac Jones Elkington and Amy Vilate Draper. He married Zola Christensen in the Salt Lake Temple on July 3, 1935. He retired from Tooele Army Depot. He was currently serving as stake patriarch in the Tooele, Utah South Stake and as a sealer at the Jordan River Temple.
Mr. Elkington is survived by his wife, five children, Brice, Clair, Don, Kent and Diane (Sagers), 26 grandchildren, his stepchildren, his stepmother, Lanora Elkington, three brothers, Lynn, Elwin, and Paul Elkington, and a sister, Doris E. Wardle.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Tooele 4th-14th Ward, 192 West 200 South. Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to services.
Interment: Tooele Cemetery.
