Funeral services for Alva Jackson Rawls, 66, Athens, who died Thursday at his residence, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Athens, Rev. Joe Anglin and Rev. Fred Lackey officiating, with burial in the Athens Cemetery, McConnell Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Gertrude H. Rawls, Athens; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Brooks and Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, both of Athens; a son, William J. Rawls, Athens; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Rawls, Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, B. W. Rawls, Jacksonville; and two grandchildren.
