Ruel Alexander, age 75 of Lubbock, formerly of Breckenridge, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in a Lubbock hospital. Graveside funeral services were at 10 a.m., Friday, October 24th, in the Breckenridge Cemetery. Burial followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Ruel Carlton Alexander was born on March 14, 1933, in Breckenridge, Texas, to parents, Alford Addison "A.A." Alexander and Francis Aliene Smith Alexander. He was a lifetime resident of Breckenridge until 2007 when he moved to
Lubbock to be near his sister. Ruel enjoyed country and western music. He was preceded in death by his parents.



Ruel is survived by his sister, June Wilson of Lubbock; one nephew, Jeff Wilson and wife, Dee of North Little Rock, Ark.; three nieces, Carla Norton and husband, Marc of Clyde, Susan Tucker and husband, Larry of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Laura Etie of Lubbock; nine great-nephews and nieces; and seven great-great-nephews and nieces.
