Jesse Jayne, 63, died Saturday February 5, 6:30 a.m. at his home at Turner Branch from a heart attack. Born January 3, 1903 to J.W. and Cora Blanton Jayne; he was married to Mae McKenzie Jayne who survives. A member of the Freewill Baptist Church he also is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Challie Mahan and Mrs. Andy Adams of Paintville; one son, Melvin Jayne of Vine Grove, Kentucky, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Frank Jayne of Staffordsville, Mrs Amos Blanton of Jackson, Ohio; Mrs Grant Caudill of Cable, Ohio; Mrs Dona Blanton and Mrs Paris Blevins of Staffordsville. Funeral services were held Monday February 7, 11:00 a.m. at the Freewill Baptist Church in Paintsville. Interment was held in the Jayne Cemetery, Staffordville.
