Born March 20, 1901, in Lafayette, she attended Washington School and graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette. She also graduated from Purdue University in 1925. From 1947 until 1983, she spent the winters in Lakeland, Fla.
She married Ralph E. McNeely in Fowler in 1933. He died in 1983.
From 1919 until 1921 she served as organist for the Pearl Allen Dancing School in Lafayette. She taught mathematics at Fowler High School from 1926 until her marriage. She became the organist of Fowler Methodist Church in 1933. She taught at Pine Township High School from 1942 to 1946 and 1952 until 1954. She worked at Fowler again until 1962. She also helped many students in Tala and Culion sanitariums in the Philippines for several years. Mrs. McNeely had served as worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 493 of Fowler. She had traveled extensively with her husband throughout the United States, but in 1966 they made a nine-week trip to England, Scandinavia and Europe.
