POLK CITY - Mrs. Neely Maxine Williams, 63, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at her residence due to heart failure.
Mrs. Williams was born August 7, 1944 in Mascotte, Florida to Vernon and Evelyn Cauley. Mrs. Williams has been a Polk County resident for over 20 years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Polk City, she volunteered with the Rainbow Girls, loved being with her grandchildren and loved to read.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James W. Williams whom she married June 1962 in Lake Co., son, Matt Williams, 1 sister, and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her loving family: 5 sons, Danny (Tammy) Williams of Polk City, FL, Joe (Trina) Williams of Lakeland, FL, Robert Williams of Lakeland, FL, Alan Williams of SC, Mark Williams of SC; 2 brothers, James Carr of FL, and Paul Carr of FL; 1 sister, Cathy Cauley of Atlanta, GA; 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Jimmy, Amanda R., Joshua, Ashton, Amanda K., Dustin, Cole, and Brian; 3 great grandchildren, Quinn, Evan, and Brandon.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Kersey Funeral Home, with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m.
