Mr. Haverstock has had consumption for several years and a year ago spent the winter in California in hopes of obtaining relief, but returned in the spring, not benefited. Early this fall he went to the Adirondacks, but came home a few weeks ago very weak and without receiving any benefit.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon. Rev. Southworth, of Hogansburg, officiating. Internment in the Racket River Cemetery.
Mr. Haverstock was born in the town of Massena and was the son of the late E. G. and Polly Haverstock, being one of a large family. He has always lived in town excepting for the trips mentioned. He married Miss Abby Brewer, daughter of Ira Brewer, of this town and they have four bright boys, who will comfort the mother in the loss of a kind husband. Besides his wife and sons he leaves an aged and feeble mother and several brothers and sisters.
