BALTZ, Henriette Margarete; nee RODEMICH; died 5 May 1918 at her residence in Millstadt at the age of 86 years and was buried on 7 May 1918 at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. She was the widow of Johann Philipp BALTZ, who died 6 October 1895. She was born 10 April 1832 in Rossdorf, Hessen, a daughter of Philipp RODEMICH [who died in 1838] & Margarete Barbara, nee SCHIMMER [SCHIEMER] [who died in 1878]. She came to America in 1836 with both parents. On 11 July 1854, she was married by Pastor KNAUSS to Johann Philipp BALTZ. Their marriage produced a daughter and 9 sons, but only 5 sons survive. Her surviving sons are: W, N. BALTZ; Philipp BALTZ; Henry D. BALTZ; Richard BALTZ; and Gust. F. BALTZ; also 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. [page 155 & 156 # 614]
