WIMMER SERVICES AT HALE ON SATURDAY
Was Grandmother of Mrs. Carroll Truesdell
Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude May Wimmer, 76, of Avalon, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Austin Funeral Home at Hale. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Dean Winn, pastor of the Hale Methodist Church, and burial will be in Avalon cemetery.
Mrs. Wimmer, who died Thursday morning at a nursing home in Chillicothe, was a lifelong resident of the Avalon area. She had moved from her home to Chillicothe just eight days before her death. On June 11, 1908, she was married to Marion Wimmer. He died in 1904.
Survivors include a son, Russell Wimmer of Hale; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Benson of Springfield, and Mrs. Goldie Carter of Oregon; a brother, Harley Robison of Sumner; two grandchildren, Norman Wimmer of Columbia, and Mrs. Carroll Truesdell of Chillicothe, and two great grandchildren.
