Daniel was a student at Roaring Brook Elementary School in Avon and was involved in the Avon Little League Baseball and basketball, as well as a member of the Farmington Valley YMCA. He loved fishing with his father.
Besides his parents, he leaves his grandparents, Josephine Byron of Wethersfield, and Carole and Ed Levin of Boynton Beach, FL; a brother, Gary Byron of Newington; and a sister, Melissa Byron of New Britain.
Funeral services will be held TODAY, August, 16, 11 a.m., in the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation Synagogue, 55 Bushy Hill Road, Simsbury, with interment in the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation Cemetery, Avon. A memorial period will be observed at his home TODAY, 1-4 p.m., Saturday, beginning at 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Clinical and Research Fund for Pontine Gliomas, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.
