Betty L. Carroll, 84, Neosho, MO, formerly of Rockport, TX, died on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at National Health Care in Joplin, following a lengthy illness. Betty was born Feb. 4, 1924 in Three Rivers, TX. While living in Texas, she worked in bookkeeping and accounting for a boat manufacturer and moved to Missouri in 1967 from Texas. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Church. Betty is survived by a daughter, Jo Helen Moore and husband, Dale, Neosho; two sons, Orand A. Carroll, III, Big Spring, TX and Roger W. Carroll and wife, Linda, White, Oak, TX; one brother, Bennie Ray Almand, San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Lucy Belle 'Dolly' Porter, Lees Summit, MO; Doris Pierce, Kansas City, MO and Helen Darilek, Lavernia, TX; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Orand A. Carroll, Jr; her parents, Cecil R. and Lela M. (Pullen) Almand; two brothers and an infant sister. Graveside services will be held on Wed., Nov. 5, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Rockport Cemetery, Rockport, Texas.
