Gunnison - Austin Melvin Anderson, 51, died Thursday in a Gunnison hospital after a heart attack. Born Nov. 12, 1910, Manti, to Melvin W. and Ludell Pollstrup Anderson. Married Gertrude Christensen in Richfield, April 16, 1931. Member, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Past president, Gunnison Lions Club. Member, Gunnison City Council. Survivors: widow; sons, daughters of Murray; Gunnison; Salina, Sevier County; Mayfield, Sanpete County; mother; eight grandchildren; brothers, Neal, Provo; Dick, Midvale; Jay, Salt Lake City; sisters, Mrs. Fern Malmgon, Centerfield, Sanpete County; Mrs. Marva Christensen, Kearns; Mrs. Bernice Wood, Salina; Mrs. Vivian Larson, Sterling; Dollene Allred, Manti. Funeral Monday, 1 p.m., Gunnison Second LDS Ward Church. Friends call family home Sunday evening, Monday prior to services. Burial, Gunnison Cemetery.
