Mrs. Brown, formerly Dora Reynolds, was born Sept. 10, 1866, in Williamsburg, Ind., and came to this community with her parents, who settled in Garfield township.
On August 14, 1884, she was united in marriage to Clement S. Brown.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gard Tharp of this city and Mrs. Joseph Secor, R 2; Otto and Ansel Brown of R 2 and Theodore of Traverse City; a sister Mrs. Elizabeth Latting of Flint; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Her husband died in 1936, and one son preceded her in death. The body was taken to the Hibbard Chapel where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. William Paulson, pastor of the Friends church of which she was a member, officiating.
Commitment will be made to the mausoleum at Oakwood cemetery.
