son of William Beatty Potts and Rhoda Ann Richards. Married Mary Ann Emeline Leyerly January 12, 1860 and had numerous children. A large family monument appears in this cemetery with many names inscribed on it. Not sure if he's buried here or in California, where we know Elizabeth Pearl is buried in Redlands, CA and possibly Mary A. E. also. 1900 census shows RD, MAE, EP and another daughter Jane T living in Los Angeles. EP died in 1901 and RD in 1902. 1910 census shows MAE living in a boarding house in Long Beach, CA.

Mr. Daniel Potts, a well known farmer of Zanesville township, died at the residence of his son, four miles west of Raymond, Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. He had been a resident of that township for many years and was one of the most substantial residents of that community. He was a brother of Mr. J. W. Potts, editor of the Raymond Independent.
