Mrs. Missouri Evans Reeves received word from the War Department recently that her son Pfc. Ira J. Reeves had been killed in action in Italy. Pfc. Reeves enter the service October 12, 1942.
The telegram follows..."The Secretary of War desires me to express his deep regret that your son Private First Class Ira J. Reeves was killed in action on 12th of May in Italy."
