Clarksville, April 27. Mose H. Hunt, 90 year old Confederate vet¬eran died Saturday morning follow¬ing a long illness at the, home of his daughter, Mrs. T. H. Burrus, north or Coal Hill. Funeral service will be held at, the Hardgrave cemetery, 12 miles west of' Clarksville, at 1:30 o'clock Sunday
The Veteran was the uncle of Dr. W. R. Hopp, and Mrs. Steve Logan of Clarksville. He was a Mason for 60 years, an Odd Fellow and a mem¬ber of the Fort Smith Grotto country club.
The retired farmer was postmaster and merchant in Hunttown, and was mayor of Coal. Hill for a number of years.
Survivors are four sons, Dr. E. C. E. C. Hunt of Ola, Ark., Will Hunt of Ok¬lahoma, C. M. Hunt, Fort Smith, and John Hunt of Southern Arkansas Two: daughters, Mrs. Dave Nichols, Ozark, and Mrs. Burrus of Coal Hill.

Mose H. Hunt, 90 years old, Confed¬erate Veteran, who died Saturday morning at his daughter's home near Coal Hill took part in the battle at Oak Hill, Pea- Ridge and the charge on Fort Davidson, Pilot Rock; Mo. He once told reporters that "I was a drummer at the Prairie Grove engage¬ment, but after the battle I found my drum had been lost or misplaced. I never found it and was forced to join the cavalry. I served in the cavalry during the Camden expedition in the battles: of Marks' Mill, Poison Springs and Prairie D'Ane"
Hunt, was widely known in Johnson County.
