Nettie Hill was one of the sixteen children born to Maxie Gregg and Mary Jane "Mollie" Dominy Hill. She grew up in Kennard, Texas and was married to John Westbrook. John and Nettie both grew up in Kennard and lived there all of their lives.
John Westbrook's sister, Dora Ollie Westbrook, was married to Nettie Hill's brother.
Nettie Hill was a great Christian lady and she believed in standing her ground on issues involving the church.
Nettie Hill was a great cook and made the best fried pies around. Everyone would almost fight over her apple pies at family reunions.
