Dr. Williamson served in the medical profession in Lincoln from 1964 until his retirement at age 70 in 1996.

He served in the U.S. Army at the close of the European Theater in World War II.

He was the fourth of five children of Leslie and Beulah Scott Williamson. He marred Marilyn Shaffner.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, Dr. David (and Kim) Williamson, Bruce (and Cathy) Williamson, Dr. Jeffrey (and Jane) Williamson, John (and Donna) Williamson and Doug (and Michelle) Williamson; one sister, Dorothy Cargill; one brother, Robert (and Shirley) Williamson; a sister-in-law, Mildred; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Two older brothers preceded him in death: Clyde in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II, and Leslie just two months ago.

Dr. Williamson was member of Lincoln Christian Church. He served on the board of education at Lincoln Community High School for 14 years and served his undergraduate alma mater on the alumni board and board of trustees. He helped coach the Little League Lions team.
