Eva Lee was born in Alto, Texas, to the late Hal and Evie Brunt. A longtime resident of Rusk, she married Tom Eldon Sartain on Sept. 26, 1937. Eva retired from the Rusk State Hospital after 27 years of service. She knew the Bible and loved her church. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family. She was a wonderful cook and a great musician. Playing the piano and family sing-a-longs were a favorite for Eva Lee.
She was preceded on death by her husband of 54 years, Tom Sartain; and nine siblings.
She is survived by her children, Tommye Pickett, of Rusk, Texas, Mike Sartain and wife, Sue, and Jim Sartain and wife, Debbie, all of Waco, Jane Woods and husband, Les, of Fort Worth, and Bob Sartain and wife, Pam, of Birmingham, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
