Caitlyn S. Brown, 18, of Toms River, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Nov. 8 after a courageous battle with cancer. Caiti was a long-time resident of Toms River. She was a recent graduate of Ocean County Performing Arts School, Lakehurst, where she focused on her love for acting. Caiti was a true inspiration to all who knew her, always optimistic, caring and considerate of others. She touched the lives of so many people over the years, as seen with all the global support and compassion she received.
Caiti is predeceased by her grandfather, Dennis Brown. Surviving are her beloved parents, Brian and Michelle; her sisters and brother, Jacki, Brian, and Maggi; her grandparents, Charlene and Alfred Shindle of Woodbridge, her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Dolores Elliot of Woodbridge and her grandmother, Kathleen Brown of Jersey City; and many loving aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Episcopal Church, located on the corner of Route 9 and Second Street, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ocean of Love, 1709 Highway 37 E., Toms River, NJ 08753 in Caiti's memory.
