Funeral services for William Odell Groover, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 24, 2004, in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Groover died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at his residence.
Born July 6, 1925, in Tattnall County, he was the son of the late Gaston and Bertha Busby Groover. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the A&P Bakery and was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church in Glennville.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Groover; two step-children, Michelle Kinisley and John Angelo DeMeo both of Baltimore, Md.; and grandchildren, Melissa Kinisley and Walter Kinisley both of Baltimore, and Lenny Kinisley of San Diego, Calif.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margarite Smith and Dorothy Blackwell.
