Blanche Anita Taylor John

Blanche Anita Taylor John, 85, of Shoshone, and formerly of Wendell, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at the Gooding County Memorial Hospital in Gooding.

Blanche was born June 14, 1914, in Downey, Idaho, the daughter of John Thomas and Eva Anita Eastland Taylor. She was raised and educated in Downey. She married Asael Dean John on Oct. 21, 1932, in Logan, Utah. They lived in Malad, Idaho, and later moved to Tremonton, Utah, during which time they farmed. Later, they lived in Salt Lake City and Clover, Utah, and in January of 1962, they sold their farm and moved to Wendell. Her husband preceded her in death in 1984. Blanche lived in Wendell until the late 1980's, when she moved to Shoshone. She was a member of the Wendell and Gooding LDS churches.

She is survived by one son, Kit M. John of Shoshone; one daughter, Lynn Henderson of Buhl; one sister, Clara Conway of Billings, Montana; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and was looking forward to the birth of two more great-grandchildren this year.

She was preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; two sons in infancy, and one in early childhood.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at the Gooding LDS Church. with Bishop Chuck Turner conducting. Burial will be in the Wendell Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Demaray's Gooding Chapel, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
