Ron worked in the Maintenance Department for Tyson Foods. He was a veteran, having served our country with the United States Army during the Vietnam. He was a member of the Cove Church.
On December 6, 1969, he was united in marriage with Gloria (White) Spoon who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Richard Charles & Kari Spoon of Creston, Iowa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tami Sue and Casey Wilson of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Elizabeth Jean and Fred Becker III of Oak Grove, Arkansas; his mother, Pansy Spoon of Osceola, Iowa a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Tren Johnson of Murray, Iowa; four granddaughters, Kaitlin and Emily Becker and Abby and Beth Wilson; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Yount Spoon; and one sister, Joyce Kelso.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 14, 2005, at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Berryville with Rev. Wayne Writer and Rev. Robert Morrison officiating. Interment will be in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Johns Hospice, 214 Carter, Berryville, AR 72616, or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1900, Green Forest, AR 72638.
