Clinton Allen Oliver, born March 16, 1947, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 in a San Marcos hospital of complications of a stroke.
He was preceded in death by wife Cynthia Oliver, son Allen Oliver and father W. Allen Oliver Jr. He is survived by mother E. Hope Oliver of Dallas, brother Bruce Oliver of Martindale, sister Kitty Knowles of Cypress, sons John Oliver, Brannan Oliver, David Oliver and daughter Cynthia Underwood and eight grandchildren.
Clinton was a fifth generation Texan.
He worked for many years in the nursing profession in Sherman and Dallas. He was a medic in the Naval Reserves and a member of the Red Cross. He graduated from the University of Texas in science.
There will be a viewing at Pennington Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., and burial will be at Harmony Ridge in San Saba Saturday at 2 p.m. There will be a viewing before the service starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Ridge, San Saba.
