Christine M. Pettus, 90 of Bonne Terre died March 25 at her residence. She was born Aug. 31, 1904 in French Village to the late Edward and Ida (Aubuchon) Rosner. She is preceded in death by her husband Firmin Pettus; one son Firmin Eugene Pettus; one granddaughter, Rita Clark; seven brothers: Wallace Rosner, Joe Rosner, Mike Byington, Lucian Byington, Sam Byington, Archie Byington and Raymond Short; three sisters: Anna Abuchon, Bessie Scalffen and Birdie Dixon.
Mrs. Pettus was a member of St. Joseph Church in Bonne Terre and the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by one son, Larry Pettus of Ste. Genevive; five daughters: Marie Young, Betty O'Shia, Frances Gosling and Shirley Christopher all of Bonne Terre and Lorraine Jokerst of St. Genevive; one half brother, Frank Short of Scott City; one half sister, Ruth Cosgrove of Great Falls, Mont.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grand children.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. A Christian Prayer Service will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Bonne Terre with Rev. John Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic School in Bonne Terre.
