ERIE — Mrs. Mayme A Foxworthy 74 a resident of Erie since 1913 died at 11:30 o’clock Tuesday night at a rest home in Chanute. She had been ill several years. She entered the rest home a month ago and became critically ill Sunday. She was born April 10 1891 at Hope, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Tedrow. She moved to Emporia with her family when she was a child and grew up there. She married Delano R Foxworthy on Aug 20 1913 and they made their home in Erie. He died March 27, 1958. Surviving are a son, Wayne Foxworthy, Chicago, two granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Holiday, Lawrence; Mrs. Bertha Smith and Mrs. Venus Beaty, both of Chanute; and a brother, Lou Tedrow, Chanute. She was a member of the Erie Baptist Church, the Mvrtle Rebekah Lodge and the Past Noble Grand Club. The funeral service will be at 2 pm Friday at the Baptist Church conducted by the Rev Robert McGuire. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Pierce Funeral Home.
