Florence M. Bairn, 100, of Lewellen. died Friday, January 6, 2006, at the Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at the Ash Hollow Cemetery near Lewellen with Ann Bairn, P.M.A. officiating.

Visitation was on Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Florence was born on March 5, 1905, in Logan County, Nebraska to Bennett and Lillian (Hartzell) Bailey.

She grew up and received her education in Logan County, graduating from Stapleton High School.

She was united in marriage to Carl Edward "Ed" Bairn on April 17, 1933, at North Platte, Nebraska.

They made their home east of Lewellen in Keith County.

Florence was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lewellen.

Florence is survived by her sons, Gerald and wife, Ann Bairn, of Oshkosh. Leonard and wife, Dorothy Bairn, of Lewellen, Lloyd and wife, Karen Bairn of Morrill: seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; nine sisters; a son, Edgar Bairn; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
