Passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2008 preceded in death by his parents, Angelo (Nick) and Matilda (Tillie) Bianchi. Loving husband of 57 years to Doris, loving father of Chuck and Les Bianchi of Alameda and Kent Bianchi of Dover, MN. Loving father-in-law of Nancy, Evie and Jackie. Loving grandfather of Nickolas, Christina and Staci Bianchi, loving great-grandfather of four. Donald was a former business owner of Tim's of Alameda and the Lemon Tree Inn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Cooking, Gardening, and keeping his classic automobiles spotless. He was a proud sponsor of the Alameda Boys and Girls Club, The Colombo Club, the Good Guys Hot Rod Association and the P-Town Pushrods. Donald was a member of the Alameda Elk's Club for over 50 years. The Bianchi family wishes to thank Mr. & Mrs. Ray Partido of At Work Helping Hands Services of Alameda, and Ms. Ida Williams. At the families request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The American Lung Association, The American Heart Association or The Sutter VNA & Hospice Association of Emeryville, CA. 94608.
