Denver Thomas Forester was born in Joe, NC on April 24, 1934 to John Thomas and Myrtle Balding Forester. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1950 to 1955. He married Mary Ellen Daniels in 1953 in Mobile, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen, his parents, John Forester and Myrtle Forester, his brothers Clifford, Golah, Rannel and Estel Forester, his sisters Zorah, Lois and Ethel. He is survived by his children Jeannie Elaine Foster, Susan Jane Duncan, E. William Forester, Denver Wilson Forester and Thomas Michael Stanton and by his grandchildren Keith Foster, Kevin Foster, Kerri Foster, Kenneth Foster, Thomas Daniel Duncan, William Patrick Duncan, Denver Levi Forester, Wesley Stanton and Michael Stanton. He is also survived by his brother Barton Forester of California and his sister Elvie Reese of Hot Springs, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family and he is greatly missed by all those who knew him. His love for the mountains and the people who lived there never left his heart.
