Robert Henry Pendleton was the son of James Monroe Pendleton and Mary Jane Reynolds-Pendleton.
Robert Henry married Mary Jane Casto, daughter of David Casto and Salina Clementine Batesel-Casto in 1887, Chesapeake, Lawrence County, Missouri.
Robert Henry and Mary Jane moved to Nogo, Arkansas, from their home in Missouri and lived past the old church and school house. After the birth of their last child, Alfred Monroe Pendleton, they moved down on Middle Fork on the Francis McCuin place.
About 1915, they moved their family back up to Nogo and homesteaded fifty-five acres of land. They lived in the log cabin, chinked with clay, that was already there. They added on a kitchen, fireplace and a porch.
They are buried at Nogo Cemetery together, as they were in life.

Robert Henry and Mary Jane also helped to raise two motherless Grandaughter's of their son Cordie Lee on and off for almost 6 years, as Cordie's wife Lela Jane Polk-Pendleton died shortly after the birth of second daughter Irelene. These two grandaughter's spoke highly of both grandparents and loved them dearly.
