Marvin Owen was a business owner for most of his life. He owned and operated Owen's Jewelry Store in Kermit, Texas. He repaired watches and made and repaired jewelry. He was a devoted Methodist. Among the survivors were his high school sweetheart and later his wife Roberta Guillet Owen, one son Robert Eugene Owen, one daughter Joyce Marie Owen Reynolds, 4 grandsons; Marvin Raymond Owen, Mark Lewis Owen, James Marvin Reynolds, Jonathan Franklin Reynolds, and 1 granddaughter, Molly Owen Savage. He had a marvelous sense of humor that shone through in his interactions with people. As his lone granddaughter, I can tell you that he and Grandma always used to tell me I was their favorite granddaughter. I always loved and saw the humor in that. He and his wife had many interests. They were avid golfers, played in a bridge club, square danced, and enjoyed many games during family get togethers (dominoes, Uno, pickup sticks, and checkers to name a few).
