Harry Christianson Funeral On Thursday
Services for Harry B. Christianson, 46, 404 W. 5th St., found dead in his home about noon Tuesday, will be held Thursday.
The Rev. Lawrence R. Axelson, pastor of the Fourth Street Methodist Church, will officiate at services at 10 a.m. in the Melvin Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.
A friend, Harry Collier, 412 5th Ave., found him dead in bed. Death was believed due to a heart attack.
He was employed at the McCandless Implement Company. He was born May 16, 1909, at Bigelow, Minn., son of Peter and Anna Sierks Christianson, and married the former Marie Garland on April 7, 1934, in Sterling.
Surviving are his widow; seven sons, Douglas, Rock Falls, and Phillip, Peter, James, Richard, Steven and LeRoy, all of Sterling; three daughter, Garland, Rita and Ella, all of Sterling; four brothers, Ernest, Barton, Jessie and Herbert, all of Walnut, and a sister, Mrs. Elmer Albus, Rock Falls.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
