MRS. SUMMERS, OF PARADISE, DIES
Mrs. Catherine Summers, eighty-one, wife of Harry M. Summers, Paradise R1, died Wednesday at 2:50 a.m. in the General Hospital after an illness of six days.
She and her husband observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 11, 1959.
Born in Germany, a daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine Geist Maser, she resided in Paradise R1 for 16 years and was a member of the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, besides her husband, are these children: Lloyd G., Christiana; Nelson A. New Holland R1; Samuel, Quarryville R3; Edna M., wife of Marlin Trout, Paradise R1; Catherine D., wife of Wilson Hall, Christiana; Anna E., wife of William Tipping, Willow Street R2; Florence M., wife of Alvin Harkins, Philadelphia; Paul J., at home; Roy S., Lancaster, and Jacob D., Paradise R1.
Also surviving are 44 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Henry Maser, Parkesburg; Jacob Maser, Parkesburg R1; and William Maser, Christiana R1; and a sister, Mrs. Diller Summers, Christiana.
