Amsterdam Evening Recorder, Wednesday, January 24. 1934 ~ Charles H. Mosher Charles H. Mosher, 79, retired farmer, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 226 East Main Street. Johnstown., He had been in failing health for three years and the end came as the result of complications incidental to advanced age. Mr. Mosher was born in the Town of Amsterdam, Montgomery County, July 23, 1854, the son of Barnabus and Jane L. Plantz Mosher. He was engaged in farming for a number of years, but had resided in Johnstown for the last 13 years. He enjoyed the friendship of a wide acquaintance throughout this section. He was a member of SL Mark's Lutheran Church, Johnstown. The survivors are his wife, Rebecca Putman Mosher; two daughters, Mrs. Ford T. (Jennie) Lehman, Albany, and Mrs. Charles W. (Emma) Brownell. Johnstown; two sisters, Mrs. Ira S. (Minerva) Hanson of Johnstown and Mrs. Ira (Hattie) Putman, Town of Johnstown; one brother, Barnabus W. Mosher, Johnstown; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Charles is predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Leland (Bertha) Monk who died in 1930. The funeral will be held at the Cole funeral home in Johnstown Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Andrew L Dillenbeck. D. D., pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. The body will be placed in the receiving vault of a Johnstown cemetery.
