Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fosston. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Pederson-Hoialman Funeral home, Fosston.
Bernard Abele was born Dec. 3, 1906, in Sanborn, Minn., the son of William and Mary Abele. He came with his family to Fosston when he was 9 and attended Slovarp School near his home. He married Evelyn Schultz, Dec. 29, 1930, in Fosston, where they made their home and farmed in the area.
Survivors are his wife; son, Charles, Mahnomen, Minn., daughter; Dorothy (Mrs. Tom) Killian, Fosston, 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother, Thomas, Fosston, sisters, Frances Schacher, Fosston, Margaret Lindberg, Vancouver, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth (Mrs. Jerry) Welch, one-brother, and one sister.
