Graveside services for Willard Clegg Register 76, Overton, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Cemetery, Logansport, with the Rev. Ronnie Glover officiating under direction of Bryan Funeral Home, Henderson.

Mr. Register died June 7 in a Tyler hospital.

He was born July 15, 1921, in Logansport, La. He served in the Army during World War II, receiving the EAME Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He lived in Rusk County for 12 years and Smith County for five years. He was a truck driver for J.P. Prestley Co. and a member of Bible Baptist Church, Overton.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Register, Overton; sons, Willard Register Overton, and Westley Register, Henderson; daughters, Mary Pyle, Overton, Julia Hunt, Ore City, and Sarah Momenpour, Andalusia, brothers, Gene Register, Nacogdoches, Bob Register, Shreveport, Wayne Register, Atlanta, Gerald Register, Sunset, Wallie Register, Grand Cane, and Ronald Register, Logansport; sisters, Winnie Bryan, Lufkin, Alice Edmiston, Golden, Betty Price, Logansport, and Florence Goslin, Clinton; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers include James Register, Dean Register, Dale Buckner, Ronnie Mims, Robby Register and Michael Bryan.
