George Krebs, 94, Dies Sunday In Princeton
Manlius - George L. Krebs, 94, passed away Sunday night at Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton, where he had been taken April 11 after having broken his hip.
Short prayer services will be held at 1:30 (CST) Wednesday at the Howard Johnson Funeral Home and funeral rites will be at 2 p.m. (CST) at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Engen, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Manlius Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
He was born May 10, 1860 on a farm east of Manlius. On Jan. 8, 1883, he was married to Minnie Glafka. His wife and their one child, Harry, preceded him in death.
Surviving are three grandchildren, Mrs. Viola Christensen, Earl Krebs and Mrs. Lucille Wiggim, all of Walnut; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
