Funeral services for Peter C. Duffy, 93, Wyoming's oldest resident, were held Saturday morning at 9 a.m. in St. Dominic's church in Wyoming with Rev. E. J. Bratkowski, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was in St. Mary of the Woods cemetery in Princeville. Pallbearers were John Robbins, Roy McDaniel, Glenn Fryer, Charles Rodgers, Bernard Hughes and Fay Strum.
Peter C. Duffy was born in St. Louis, Mo., June 3, 1861 and died in his home in Wyoming Wednesday night, September 15, after being in ill health for some time.
With his family he came to Monica when a small boy. His life's work was farming, coal mining and railroad work. He was united in marriage to Mary Delaney, who preceded him in death. He has been a resident of Wyoming for many years.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Oakes, Mrs. Margaret Harding and Mrs. Mabel Brazee; two sons, Eldon and Leo all of Wyoming; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
