Survivors include his wife, Ellen; a son, Robert Fitch, Jr. of Fort Worth; two stepsons, James McCowan of Amarillo and John Cox of Irving; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Nan Story of Whitesboro; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Nadine Smith of Amarillo and Mrs. Wanda Buttons of Richardson; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Black of Huntsville, Mrs. Sam Kelly of San Angelo, and Mrs. Roy Pickering of Houston, and 15 grandchildren.
